
Patrick H. McBurney, 68, of Kersey, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born on March 30, 1956, in Ridgway, the son of the late Robert McBurney and Madeline Smith Huff.
On March 2, 1984, he married Corinne “Kris” Parmigiani, who survives.
Patrick spent many years at Carbon City Products and for over 30 years, Patrick served as an EMT for the Fox TWP Ambulance, touching countless lives with his unwavering commitment to emergency care. His passion for helping those in need was matched only by the warmth of his smile, which consistently brightened the lives of everyone around him. He took immense pride in his work and was cherished by his colleagues and the community for his selfless dedication.
Patrick’s childhood was beautifully intertwined with countless memories spent with the Donahue family. Those cherished times were marked by bonds of friendship and laughter that last a lifetime. His adventurous spirit blossomed in the great outdoors, particularly at the hunting camp, where he found joy in the tranquility of nature and the company of loved ones.
In addition to his wife of 41 years he is survived by 4 children: Stacy McBurney of Pittsburgh, Kevin McBurney of Barboursville, VA, Leslie McBurney Houck and her husband Bill of Kersey, and Brenda Artman and her husband Josh of Apollo, and 10 grandchildren: Vance, Patrick, Angie, Elia, Oliver, Michael, Max, Nattaly, Zakary, and Sawyer. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Genevieve Bakanowski and her husband David of Reading and Christine Keith and her husband Kelly of TX, a brother, Richard McBurney and his husband Xavier of TX, numerous nieces and nephews, and a best friend, Shawn Zimmerman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brother, Michael and Robert McBurney.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
